How do I know if my child needs therapy?
If you have concerns, schedule a free consultation to discuss if an evaluation may be needed! The results of an evaluation can help determine if a disorder is present, as well as provide information on how often they should be seen for therapy.
Do you require an evaluation prior to starting therapy?
If you have not had a speech evaluation completed in the past, an evaluation may be needed to start therapy. However, a full evaluation may not be needed if one has been completed in the past year or if there is a current IEP in place. If this is the case, a copy of the evaluation report along with targeted goals would be requested prior to starting therapy.
Can we receive private pay therapy in addition to the services received at school?
Of course! Services can be provided to supplement school services. This can be especially helpful when school is not in session, for example summer break and school vacations. Private pay can also allow therapy for students whose score may not have qualified them for school based services, but a concern is still present.
